Mr. Uloth has over 20 years as a seasoned mining executive, as well as a business professional with over 45 years of combined experience. This includes being President and Director of River Gold Mines; in 2006, upon the completion of the merger between Wesdome and Eagle River mines, Mr. Uloth became Chairman of the combined company. Mr. Uloth became Chairman, and then CEO of the combined company from 2007 – 2010 where he led Wesdome through several of its most profitable years, and reopened the Kiena Mine. In 2013, Mr. Uloth rejoined Wesdome and successfully restructured the Company. He held this position until last year and still remains on the Board.
Mr. Mutchler, a fifth generation miner, was previously a Partner at Whittle Consulting Pty. Prior to Whittle, he was COO for Largo Resources where he was responsible for successfully building a Vanadium Mine and Mill in Brazil.
Prior to Largo, he was COO of Rainy River Resources concluding with the successful sale to New Gold. Prior to Rainy River, he was a V.P. Project Development for Kinross Gold, Mine Manager for Kinross’s Cerro Casale project in Chile, Project Director for Kinross’s Paracatu Mine in Brazil, and he held managerial positions at Kinross and ASARCO. Mike holds a BSc (Mining Engineering); MBA, Executive Juris Doctorate degree, and Chartered Directors Certificate.
David Birkett graduated in 1985 from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. He is the President and founding Director of Distinct Resources Corp, a private oil company. David was the President of AltaGas Natural Gas Storage Ltd. and Alton Natural Gas Storage Inc. as well as the President, Chief Executive Officer and founding director of Landis Energy Corporation until it was acquired by AltaGas Ltd. in 2010. He has over 25 years experience with public companies in the areas of corporate development, management, finance and exploration.
Mr. Raykov has served as a director of Fennec Pharmaceuticals Inc., a publicly traded biotechnology company, for the last six years, and as Chief Executive Officer since July 2009. Mr. Raykov is also a General Partner at DCML,a private investment partnership. Prior to DCML,Mr.Raykovwasa co-founder and portfolio manager for Alchem Investment Partners, an event driven hedge fund. He also worked as a portfolio manager for Purchase Associates, an event driven hedge fund owned by John Levin & Co., and began his career as a financial analyst in the natural resources group at Bear Stearns. Also served on the board of Wesdome, a publicly traded gold mining company. Mr. Raykov graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.
David Laing graduated in 1977 with a BSc in Mining Engineering (Honours) from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, University of London, in England. He is a mining executive with 40 years of experience in mining operations, mine construction, mining finance, corporate development, and company building. He was most recently the Chief Operating Officer of Equinox Gold, where he led the rebuilding of the Aurizona Project in Brazil, a feasibility study on the restart of the Castle Mountain Mine in California, and the acquisition of the Mesiquite Gold mine, also in California. He currently sits on the boards of Fortuna Silver Mines, Inc., Northern Dynasty Minerals Inc., Aton Resources, and Blackrock Gold Corp.
Mr. Silva has a Mining eng. Degree from Sao Paulo University. He was a co-founder of Yamana Gold, where he was Chief Operating Officer, then President and Chief Operating Officer until his retirement in 2009. He was also a co-founder of MBAC Fertilizer Corp, and served as its Chief Executive Officer until July 2016. He has sat on the boards of numerous public companies, including TSX-listed Yamana Gold, Colossus Minerals, Oceana Gold, and Valdiam Resources.
Mr. Lepard runs Equity Management Associates, LLC (EMA) an investment partnership which has focused on investing in gold, silver and gold and silver miners since 2008. Prior to EMA, Mr. Lepard spent 25 years as a professional investor and venture capitalist. From 1991 to 2004 he was one of two Managing Partners at Geocapital Partners in New Jersey. Prior to Geocapital Mr. Lepard spent 7 years as a General Partner at Summit Partners in Boston, MA. Mr. Lepard holds an MBA with Academic Distinction from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Colgate University.
