Amarillo Welcomes New Chairman, Reports on Changes to the Board

Amarillo Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:AGC) (“Amarillo” or the “Company”) is pleased to welcome Robert Landis and Waldemar Opalka to its Board of Directors.

Robert K. Landis is joining the Company as non-executive Chairman. Mr. Landis is a Boston-based private investor with an interest in gold, gold mining and emerging markets. He is a former Merrill Lynch investment banker and a former securities lawyer, and has served as a director of several other Canadian gold mining companies.

Waldemar L. Opalka is joining the Company as a non-executive director. Mr. Opalka, Director of Corporate Development at Netia S.A., Poland’s leading alternative telecommunications operator, is a telecommunications executive and entrepreneur based in Warsaw, Poland. He has an active and fruitful history of investment in emerging markets and involvement in developing corporations.

The Company would also like to say farewell to Bruce Bragagnolo, a founder of the Company who has been an active and interested director from its inception in 2004. He departs as other mining interests demand more of his time. The Amarillo Board and staff express their sincere thanks to Bruce for his time and efforts with the Company, and wish him every success.
