Amarillo Gold Corp. (“Amarillo”) is pleased to announce that Buddy Doyle is joining Amarillo as CEO and a Director. Buddy Doyle has 23 years experience in mineral exploration. Most recently he was Exploration Manager/Vice President of Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. in charge of diamond exploration in North America. Graduating from the Queensland University of Technology in 1981, with a BSc in Applied Geology, Buddy joined the Rio Tinto Group. He was a key member of the Kennecott Exploration Australia team that discovered the multi-million ounce Minifie gold deposits at Lihir in 1987-1988. Buddy moved to Canada with Kennecott Exploration in 1992 and led the team which discovered the Diavik diamond deposits in 1994-1995. Buddy is recognized by his peers in the exploration industry as an authority on diamond exploration and kimberlite geology, and has authored/co-authored numerous papers on these subjects. Few geologists have seen 2 projects from discovery through to decision to mine. The board of Amarillo looks forward to the experience and insight Mr. Doyle will bring to Amarillo.
